Tuti for students

Study from your own course material.

Tuti turns your lectures and PDFs into notes, flashcards and quizzes, explains what you got wrong and plans your studying before the exam.

Tuti reading a book

Study tools made from your classes.

Share a lecture, slides or a PDF from Google Drive or your laptop. Tuti works from that, so what you study matches your course.

  • Notes, flashcards and practice quizzes

Tuti reads your lecture slides or PDF and writes notes, a flashcard set and a practice quiz. Each card and question shows the slide or page it came from.

For example: “Make flashcards and a quiz from my Bio 110 lecture 7.”

  • A tutor that explains step by step

Ask about anything in your course. Tuti explains it one step at a time, quotes your slides or textbook, and asks you a question to check you’ve got it.

For example: “Walk me through how the Krebs cycle makes ATP.”

  • Study plans on your calendar

Tell Tuti when the exam is. It finds free time around your classes in Google Calendar and adds review sessions, each with the topics to cover.

For example: “Plan my studying for the chem final on December 12.”

  • It remembers your courses and weak spots

Tuti remembers your courses, your deadlines and the topics you keep missing, and brings those back in your next quiz. You can see, edit or delete what it remembers.

For example: “What should I review before Thursday?”

From lecture to quiz to review.

Tuti reads the slides, makes the cards and the quiz, explains a wrong answer and plans a review.

The request: “Make flashcards and a quiz from my Bio 110 lecture 7. The exam is Thursday.”

Tuti makes 10 flashcards and a 5-question quiz from the slides, explains a wrong answer with a quote from slide 14 and adds a review before the exam.

Academic integrity

Tuti helps you learn. You write your work.

Tuti has a study mode for schoolwork. In study mode it explains, asks you questions, gives hints and gives feedback on your drafts. It won’t write an essay, a problem set or an exam answer for you to hand in. Your school’s rules on AI come first: if an assignment says no AI, don’t use Tuti for it.

What teachers see

In study mode, Tuti

  • Explains a topic one step at a time
  • Shows where each answer comes from in your material
  • Gives hints before answers on practice questions
  • Gives feedback on drafts you wrote
  • Won’t write graded work for you to hand in

When you ask Tuti to write your essay.

In study mode, Tuti helps you write it yourself.

The request: “Write my essay on the causes of World War I. It’s due Friday.”

In study mode, Tuti doesn’t write the essay. It explains the causes from your notes and gives feedback while you write your own thesis.
